Mounting Twin Piques

First of all you have to pick the proper spot to mount this stand set, and ask someone to give you a hand. Make sure you have enough space left above the spot where you want to mount it, because you have to lift the instrument out of the oval shaped base. After that, start with mounting the oval shaped support with one screw at the top of the wall-plate, and put in the screw almost tight. Place your Bass Clarinet in it with the steel rod inside the oval base and hold on to it. Ask your friend to hand you the upper support and to grab a pencil. Place the ‘hook’ shaped upper support around your instrument at the same position and height as shown on the pictures on our site. Push the wall-plate flat against the wall, and have your friend mark the holes for the screws. The main body of your Bass Clarinet should be in an angle similar to a line between the 1 and 7 on a clock-face. Put in all screws and screwcovers and you’re done!

To keep the rubber in good shape you could occasionally put a little bit of silicone spray on a soft cloth and give it a gentle rub.

Especially with drywall it is of utmost importance to find a spot that offers solid footing for the screws, and has a stud or beam directly behind it. For stone walls you will have to drill holes with a 3/8 inch/ 5mm drill bit and insert the wallplugs and screws. The little caps are to cover the screws. Put hem on the tip of your forefinger and place them over the screw’s head. Then, with a twisting movement of your finger feel for their proper position over the slot, then just push them in. Use some glue if all else fails.
If you use a cordless drill for the screws, make sure its chuck doesn’t damage the coating.
